Dr Mark Houghton
Dr Mark is passionate for pioneering better care of unwanted pregnancy and everyone involved.
For over 30 years he gave clinical care and counselling to couples and single women with unwanted pregnancy.
He was a family doctor in Sheffield, UK, from 1990 to 2015 when he became an author due to chronic pain. He lives in Yorkshire and has 3 adult children.
In the 1980s Mark worked at Nazareth Hospital, Israel for Ob Gyn, new-borns, paediatrics and anaesthetics.
He is Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, holds the RCOG Family Planning Certificate and RCOG Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also has royal college diplomas in Paediatrics and Anaesthetics.
Dr Esther Lüthy
Dr Esther Lüthy qualified in Zürich, Switzerland and is a Swiss and British registered doctor specialised in Internal Medicine (FMH Switzerland) and more recently in General Practice in Zurich.
After four pregnancies and as mother of three, she has a passion for improving pregnancy decision-making.
Dr Esther is currently, with Dr Mark and others, creating a condensed Pregnancy and Abortion Quick Guide for women in crisis pregnancy.
Christine Fidler
Christine is a mother and grandmother with over 30 years experience in counselling pregnant women, abused women and their partners both before and after abortion.
Fidler designed and ran the acclaimed and accredited Pregnancy Counselling Course with ‘Image’ in Manchester, UK. She provides a compassionate response to those considering abortion and those who have had an abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death or experienced child separation.
Professor John Wyatt
Professor John Wyatt, author of the chapter ‘Premature Birth After Abortion’, is Emeritus Professor of Neonatal Paediatrics at University College London – he is a father and an experienced neonatal paediatrician and highly respected international author, Matters of Life and Death, and speaker on end of life care and medical ethics.
